Work Experience
Year 10 Work Experience: 30th June – 4th July 2025
All Year 10 students are expected to complete a one-week work experience placement from 30th June to 4th July 2025. This experience is highly valuable, helping students develop practical skills, enhance problem-solving abilities, and build adaptability and confidence in a real-world work environment. A well-matched, high-quality placement can also improve career prospects by fostering essential soft skills such as communication, teamwork, and time management.
Arranging a Work Experience Placement
Students, with the support of parents or carers, are responsible for securing their own work experience placement. This involves reaching out to employers to enquire about opportunities for the allocated week.
For those unsure about their preferred career sector, Unifrog offers quizzes and surveys to help identify suitable career paths.
Key Deadlines & Next Steps
· By the end of the Spring Term, students must have a confirmed placement.
· Once an employer agrees to host a placement, students must log in to their Unifrog account and complete the placement form (found under the Placement tile). This ensures that the school can verify the employer has the necessary Employer’s Liability Insurance and Risk Assessments in place.
· Parents/carers must review and approve the placement via Unifrog.
Support & Resources
The school provides the Unifrog Work Experience Placement Tool to manage arrangements and ensure health, safety, and safeguarding requirements are met.
To upload placement details, students should visit the student side of their Unifrog account and access the following resources:
