Welcome to Thistley Hough Academy.

It is with pride and honour that I introduce myself as the Interim Principal at such a fantastic school within this exceptional community.  

My vision is clear:

Every child will be provided with an educational experience that allows them to succeed at Thistley Hough Academy. This is underpinned by the following fundamental principles; 

• Your child will be known. We have a dedicated team of staff and a pastoral system that all lead with student well-being at the heart of everything they do. Success comes in many forms and is not just measured by academic success. Children will be known as individuals. Relationships that are created between students, school and home are essential in supporting them to develop and succeed academically, socially and emotionally.  

• Excellent teaching. A dedicated team of teachers that are experts in their subjects, deliver a rigorous, robust and reflective curriculum that provides students with the powerful knowledge and understanding they require to strive for academic success.  

• A thriving programme of experiences beyond the classroom. Our personal development programme ensures all students develop skills outside the classroom through an enriching co-curricular timetable, drop-down day experiences, trips and visits, careers and workplace touchpoints and leadership opportunities. All focused on the explicit development of our three Academy virtues; Respect, Resilience and Responsibility.
